I was watching Cory's funeral and her daughter Ballsey was being interviewed and said something that caught my attention. She said something like 'Uunahin ko din ang bayan kesa sa pamilya' It was not the exact words but the thought is almost the same.
Upon hearing it, I asked myself it its proper to prioritize your country than your own family. I have nothing against my country, I am proud to be a Filipino and I show it in my own little ways. Its just that right now, My humble mind cannot understand why the country should be the priority and not the family? Im not familiar with the hierarchy of prioritization or is there such a thing like that?
Maybe its time for me to check the definition of 'Nationalism' and 'Patriotism' again Or maybe I cant understand it simply because I am a Fernando and not an Aquino, does that make sense? Maybe.
I was having a bad day yesterday I feel so un-princess, lost and sick. Twas like hello 'bad day!' to me But I will not go into details about all the things that I went through Because I realized-slash-learned something new about myself
Twas yesterday that a classmate of mine asked me something I just cant remember what it was (poor memory ey) Anyways, after everything was answered He paused for a while then he said...
'Ate steph lagi ka naka-smile...'
That line didnt get my attention the moment it was said to me It was later that day when I did some reflection And it took me some time to realized.. That amidst all, I can still smilel :)
